Doelstelling

– To drive the organisation towards continuous improvements in project effectiveness and efficiency. Provide the management with process optimizations based on benchmarks and lessons learned.

– To challenge and follow-up the external engineering contractor(s) by controlling the Beringen/Geleen investment projects in the area of estimates, schedule and the overall engineering work process.

Voornaamste taken

– Responsible for the project estimate/control/reporting process
o Adopt the process to the project needs taking into account the project complexity
o Generate effective and efficient tools to be applied at different stages of the project
?Responsible for the project scheduling/planning/expediting process
o Timely review of the estimates and the schedules at different stages of the study
– Responsible for the project QA/QC process in projects, specifically for filing and ITP’s (inspection and test plans)
o Capture the lessons learned after each study stage & execution phase for large projects and on regular portfolio reviews for smaller projects
o Translate these lessons learned into process optimisations
o Main stakeholder of the engineering improvement list and executes follow-up & controls the progress of this list
– Responsible for adherence to the need to pay process in projects
o “Responsible” means being the local expert, maintaining, improving and training local instructions and keeping them up to date with group instructions, guidelines, best practises.

– Up to date local instructions with regards to the following engineering workprocesses: cost estimating/control – schedulling/planning/expediting – QA/QC in projects: filing and ITP work process – Need to pay process

– Gives regular training in these work processes and is the first point of contact for questions regarding these processes.

– Is accountable for checking that the actual estimates, cost reports, schedules and plannings as delivered by the EPCm contractor are in line with agreed quality and timing.

Profiel

– Working experience in a technical/operational role in the Chemical Industry with good knowledge of chemical processes, products and equipment.
– Technical: understanding of technical scope to translate it correctly into estimates and plannings
– People: Giving trainings and being recognised as the local knowledge holder who can be consulted in case of need
– Analytical: understanding and improving the work processes to drive efficiency and quality of the project controls activities.
– Fluent in Dutch
– Excellent knowledge of English at business level.
– Experience in working with databases (SAP, MS Access, SQL, …) or interest to do so
