Smart Technics is an innovative start-up within the Colruyt Group (www.smarttechnics.colruytgroup.com) that lives by the motto: from inspiration to implementation. Our team provides a broad spectrum of services, ranging from engineering, project management, design and implementation of technological solutions, for the full supply chain (retail and logistics).

With our 50 employees, mainly engineers, software developers and project managers we are growing rapidly. We are devoted to robotics, artificial intelligence, product recognition on a daily basis and work on solutions that should become the standard of retail and logistics operations in the next 5 to 10 years. With this pioneering work, we apply new technologies in use cases and make sure that together with the business we keep the Colruyt Group future-proof.

About the function of Project Manager

As a "Project Manager” within Smart Technics, you will lead a multifunctional team ranging from experts devoted to innovation such as project engineers, innovation officers, software developers but can also interact with the business side with departments such as sales & marketing people, procurement, legal. Your projects will focus on sizing and implementing flexible, scalable warehouse automations within the Colruyt Group. You have a budget to manage and a deadline to respect but above all you are a great communicator and work proactively.

As a Project Manager you have the end responsibility and know how to adapt and course-correct the team when needed thanks to known project management techniques. You are passionate about teamwork and can think outside of the box. But above all you deliver visible results and know that with your team you will have visible impact on the way our internal and external customers do business.

Profile:

  • Knowledge and experience - You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and know Agile, Scrum, PMBok methodologies. A background in IT, industrial environments or logistics automations is a big plus.
  • Innovative mindset: you think and breathe like an entrepreneur, you think outside of the box and are curious about the why’s in this world.
  • Organization and planning - A complex organization does not deter you. You create a clear structure and planning to manage your team in the best possible way. You are goal-oriented.
  • Enthusiasm and communication skills- You are enterprising, dynamic and enthusiastic. You know how to mobilize people to enthuse them to help land projects with a favourable conclusion. In parallel you keep a critical eye on your project and the work of your team. You communicate proactively and adapt your style to your different stakeholders. You are assertive yet diplomatic.
  • Flexibility- You quickly adapt to new project needs or other changes.
  • Languages- You communicate fluently in Dutch and English so that you are able to cooperate well with all your colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
