Guides and influences technical project direction and solves significant technical problems by leveraging scientific/engineering skills and strong foundational Packaging understanding developed through hands-on experimentation/application. Performs Application work and demonstrates implementation skills leveraging knowledge that moves projects forward and also begins to gain exposure to and demonstrate initial proficiency in performing integration work. Collaborates effectively with multi-functional business teams and uses/creates Consumer feedback to improve MVPs.

Qualifications

Candidate background: Master Degree or PhD in Material Science or Material Engineering with proven experience in fiber -based materials / packages (and fiber process).

Role Description

P&G Ambition 2030 and 2040 on top of the more stringent consumer and customer requirements accelerated the need of reinventing our packages, and, with that, growing our knowledge and capabilities in new expertise fields.

The role requires strong technical mastery and leadership to manage a broad set of challenges and projec t s, ranging f ro m fundamental understanding fiber -based material properties and package performance , to the development of the capabilities needed to enable competitive advantage ( e.g patents) to the development of new solutions in partnership with other functions such as Design, product research, suppliers, etc.

Important Responsibilities :

The candidate will be responsible for co-creating and influencing the strategic direction of t he development of Packaging Innovations for F&HC in terms of 1. Fundamental understanding of the new and existing technology platforms ( e.g. pulp molding , laminated fiber carton ) and 2 . Capability to support the new development in collaboration with , for instance , Modeling & Simulation and A nalytical partners and 3. Irresistible Superior & Responsible (Sustainable and Inclusive) Packaging .

Job Qualifications

Leadership and personal commitment – Accelerate the development of new sustainable packages and the identification and development of digital and physical tools to support the FEI developments . T he candidate has strong skills of managing multiple different priorities.

S trong problem solving and materials science skills in fiber -based materials: to solve the challenges and lead the chem/ mechanical properties understanding of the fiber -based package . Strong ability to a ppl y academic background in science and technology and practical hands-on experience to make discoveries and connections contributing to progress the projects and / or to widen the portfolio.

Communication & Collaboration skills : ability to lead package /technology related communication, to influence and re-adjust project directions via data, learning, and hands-on experience . Ability to collaborate across diverse functions and external partners. Ability to break geographical boundaries to work effectively across the globe .

Strong digital , d ata science skills are needed to ensure we continue to improve the way we innovate and that we leverage cutting edge technologies to accelerate the understanding and development of the new technology platforms and materials .
