About The Role
As the RWE Business Liaison EU you’re responsible for partnering closely with relevant regional and local internal European stakeholders. Implementing a global to local network providing RWE guidance and frameworks for European affiliates, guiding translation of business questions into scientific sound approaches. Design and lead a network approach for colleagues working in the Evidence generation space and ensures maximum transparency and synergies. And you ensure a common understanding of RWE generation methods and strategies in Europe for various stakeholders, including patients, providers, regulators, and HTA bodies. As a lead you take on a role as a mentor and contribute to training and capability building of the local evidence generation leads
Who You’ll Work With
In this role you work with the Global RWE Team and regional and local internal European stakeholders i.e.: Access, Medical, Safety teams. European external stakeholders and global organizations in collaboration with the RWE external engagement lead. Fosters the collaboration between the Center of Excellence of RWD Analytics and other functions to ensure best access to treatments for patients across European countries. You will report directly to the Head of RWE Business Liaison.
What Will You Do
- Strengthen and further evolve/expand a global-to-local European network in order to drive excellence in designing and maximize synergies and efficiencies in the generation of sound real-world evidence
- Guide Local Medical/Access colleagues in developing study documents (study concepts, study protocols) for local RWE studies
- Provide (in close collaboration with RWE strategy leads) guidance to regions and countries and ensures transparency and alignment between global and local European RWE strategies and activities
- Ensure implementation of the global RWE generation strategy framework for the value proposition of UCB’s in-market and to be launched products as well as pipeline assets for payers and HTA bodies in close alignment with the RWE strategy leads
- Take responsibility for leading RWE study design, planning and execution (including protocol development and analysis specification following best methodological standards) for EU Regional studies as needed
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
- Master’s Degree/ PhD - epidemiological, HEOR, statistical, pharmaceutical or medical degrees are favorable
- Pharma experience with a proven successful track record of analysis of Real World Data (primary and secondary data) in partnership with Epidemiologists, Payers, HTA bodies, Outcomes Researchers
- Leadership skills, incl. mentoring and coaching teams, leading transversal teams
- Strategic, innovative thinking with the ability to translate into appropriate tactics
- Experience with electronic medical record/claims data analytics, data source selection, payer/HTA body, regulatory interactions & understanding of pricing models
- Good understanding of the European regulatory and payer environment incl most recent changes in regulations, guidelines and trends
