Boortmalt (the malting business of the French cooperative group AXEREAL) is currently the 4th largest malting company globally with more than 1,1 million tonnes of malt sold throughout the world every year.Our 500 employees spread over 7 countries in Europe are focused on producing an extensive range of high- quality malt types in order to meet the requirements of our brewing and distilling customers around the world.By using the most modern production techniques and with our far-reaching logistics capability, we are able to supply world markets both effectively and efficiently. Currently in the process of the acquisition of Cargill’s malt business, Boortmalt’s employee number will soon double and its production capacity will reach 3 million tonnes per year, resulting in an even better market position.

Missions essentielles

As a Inbound Barley Planning Coordinator you are part of the barley execution team. You will ensure Barley supply to the plants is secured and optimized, supporting the required plant output and timely delivery to the customer.

Reporting into the Barley Execution Manager your core responsibilities will be :

  • You will work closely with barley suppliers to make sure the barley delivery process is secured and efficient.
  • You are the first point of escalation for the plants, quality and barley execution team in case of issues with deliveries.
  • Ensure planning processes and methodologies are adopted & tailored per site and executed efficiently across the Western Continental European region
  • Lead the barley execution planning for the Western continental European plants
  • Exchange planning information with the Inbound barley execution and planning Manager so both long term and short-term planning are aligned and this through participation to the regional S&OP process as well as ad-hoc if required;
  • Provide input to the inbound barley execution and planning Manager to monitor costs of transport and look for optimizations in the barley flow.
  • Monitor the invoice validation process

Master recherché

  • Master/Bachelor degree in Agriculture/ Logistics or any other relevant fields
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Food / Malt industry background preferred.
  • Lean/Six Sigma exposure highly appreciated.
  • Experience with SAP and/or JDE, with ERP implementations.
  • To work with complexity/ambiguity and make sound, quick concerted decisions.
  • Good communication skills, proactive, accurate and solution oriented
  • Good language skills : fluent in English and French,Dutch is a plus
