With your talent and energy paired with our vision and technical leadership, the most fulfilling work of your career is waiting for you at ST Engineering iDirect…the sky is truly the limit!As a System Architect with focus on Security, you will collaborate with the other members of the system architecture team, making sure that the applied architectural concepts are in line with the latest security standards and expectations.ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of the security team, you will focus on the following responsibilities:

• translate cybersecurity requirements into architectural concepts and designs
• assist architects to apply threat modeling, identifying potential vulnerabilities in the system architecture
• exchange ideas and best practices with the security champions in each development team
• provide guidance for security (unit) testing, and automation

At ST Engineering iDirect, System Architects continually work with other technical staff to innovate on new solutions, approaches, and enhancements for both current systems and next generation products. They are expected to lead and engage in collaborative technical discussions and meetings related to various aspects of ST Engineering iDirect products, and will contribute in your area of expertise. Focus areas are wide ranging, including network architecture, deployment architecture, application architecture and infrastructure management. You like working in an international team, spread across locations in the US (Virginia), Canada and Europe (Belgium, Germany). Having prior experience in the role of a senior engineer or system architect or similar role in a technical development organization, in the capacity of suggesting architectural and design level changes while working collaboratively with other senior engineers and technical staff across the organization, is a key asset. Key functions of a system architect include:

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Ability to distill and present information to business community in non-technical terminology
• Business analysis skills, with the ability to forecast implications and provide consultative recommendations and solutions
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills, customer service focus, attention to detail, and process orientation

QualificationsYou hold a bachelor or master’s degree in engineering (Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Networking, ...) with 10+ years of experience or have acquired similar knowledge through experience. You have a strong working knowledge and background on communication and cyber security, and you have experience with the adoption of the latest security standards and practices. As a system engineer and architect, you understand the secure software development lifecycle and can provide guidance to the development teams. As a security expert, you have knowledge about:

• Threat modeling and design review
• Platform security, operating system security and relevant industry guidance such as STIGs
• Industry standards and best practices from eg. OWASP, CSA, ISO or NIST and how to adopt them to design secure systems
• Concepts of information security and ISO 27001
• Encryption technology and key management

You will be part of a team that is working with classified information, and will need to obtain NATO clearance.As Such, We Are Looking For Applicants That
