Our client, a leading retailer is looking for a Senior Buyer to participate in the development of its activities in Belgium.

Attached to the Fresh & Groceries purchasing department, your responsibilities will be the following.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

Negotiate the competitiveness of the conditions according to the purchasing objectives such as: rate and value; 2 Net; 3 Net.
Analyze the PC "Categorical Passports" in order to optimize and respect the commercial strategy of each brand and ensure the coherence and feasibility of each one in relation to the negotiation strategies.
Collaborate with different brands during the entire negotiation cycle in order to share and/or bring up all the information necessary for the proper implementation of the said Passports.
Prepare and analyze supplier files (starting bases, counterparties, HMP, objectives...)
Manage supplier relations and define purchasing and negotiation strategies for each supplier.
Conduct business plan negotiations.
Formalize and ensure the signature of framework contracts, Rebates/Services/Returns/NIP and other annexes (Renegotiation clause, ASAP...)
Ensure the proper transmission of the negotiated conditions to the partner brands (Annexes, Proformas, PA2N, counterparties, etc.).
Manage and arbitrate your negotiation objectives in conjunction with your superiors.
Supervise the activities of a junior buyer in order to transmit your purchasing skills (methods, tools, know-how, negotiation).

IDEAL PROFILE :

You are ideally a graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a specialization in purchasing.
You have a previous significant experience in a purchasing position at a retailer.
You have a good team spirit, are solution oriented and have a good sense of responsibility.
You are able to manage an operating account and budgets.
You are fluent in French and English, Dutch is a plus.
