You will be in charge for Financial support, guidance & management of our fleet of vessels – Activity line Dredging.

Our vessels are build, maintained and repaired worldwide, demanding international flexibility on the job.

The Senior Finance Controller faces the challenge of supporting the vessel manager during the entire vessel’s life cycle, meaning from newbuilding till the end of a vessel’s lifetime. The ideal controller pursues a financial role with coordinating responsibilities in a technical environment.

Your responsibilities

  • Take responsibility to provide a complete overview of all financial aspects of the fleet
  • Execute profound financial planning and budgeting of operational budgets of the fleet
  • Participate in steerco meetings and connect with docking controllers on the follow up of budgets and financial results of major repairs of the vessels
  • Report, together as a team, with the Vessel Manager the performance of the fleet towards the management. Report to higher management and advise them and the technical department in financial matters, acting as an integrated business partner
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses upon request of the management
  • You have an eagle-eye and analyze the figures, create insights about potential savings and improvements

Your profile

  • You have a higher degree (Bachelor of Master) in applied economics, accounting or finance.
  • You have experience in cost controlling and financial auditing. Experience in a technical environment is a plus; alternatively, you have a strong technical affinity.
  • You have a proven track record in a coordinating role.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • You are an expert in Excel.
  • You are willing to occasionally, and ad hoc, visit the vessels (+/- 10% of your time)
