A large European company active in the logistics & transport sector is currently looking to hire a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join their offices in Brussels. Thanks to your experience in accounting, you will be the perfect addition to the accounting team.

Your main responsibilities as the new Senior General Ledger Accountant will include:

  • Oversee the general accounting for local and foreign subsidiaries
  • Be part of transformation and process improvement projects
  • Collaborate on the process’s description and in internal controls
  • Provide monthly/quarterly and annual closing as well as financial statements and reports
  • Ensure and integrate correct financial flows for Assets form an end-to-end perspective
  • Manage and precisely reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Carry out and maintain month-end reviews and analyses with business and controlling
  • Perform and examine accounting activities to ensure compliance with company rules as well as statutory and IFRS regulations

Your profile:

  • You have a Bachelor or Master’s in Accounting and Tax
  • You have 7 years of relevant experience in general accounting
  • You are fluent in French or Dutch, knowledge of English is a plus

Your strengths:

  • Thanks to your expertise in Excel and ERP, you feel able to tackle your various tasks
  • You are pro-active, a real problem solver and you have experience in leading a project
  • You have an analytical mind and reporting tools have no secret for you
