Description:

A candidate has been identified for this position

Main Duties / Additional Duties / Sphere of authority

Leads and/or contributes to scientific initiatives and work groups.
Develops dissolution methods according to the guidance documents.
Represents dissolution sciences in technical and cross-functional meetings.
Designs efficient experiments to answer critical questions for the development of the drug product, interprets under supervision and reviews data and presents the results in meetings.
Plans and coordinates scientific experiments internally or at contract research organizations and/or universities. Works according to GMP when applicable.
Writes technical reports and other documents that record data or results.
Contribute to write dissolution and in vitro release method development reports or briefing books for method development.
Performs effective trouble shooting where needed for development of marketed products.
Operates laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation and ensures it proper operation and maintenance.
Coaches and trains associate scientists in the dissolution group.

Qualifications:

Profile needed for this function

Knowledge

Knowledge of internal and external legislation and regulations, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Safety, Health and Environment.
Technical expertise and knowledge related to the science of dissolution and in vitro release testing and general knowledge on drug product development and performance.
Expertise to write reports and deliver presentations that are clear, organized, focused and intellectually sound in a global context.
Keeps up to date with regulatory guidelines and dissolution science literature and industry trends.

Knowledge of and working according to Environment & Safety & Health rules
Operates laboratory equipment and utilizes computer software packages in order to perform the duties of the job.
