Responsibilities

To support our growth, we are looking for two hands-on Team Leaders to ensure our packaging lines in Hoogstraten run smoothly and efficiently.

In our modern sorting facility, all tomatoes are sorted, packaged and prepared for shipment to customers in Belgium and abroad. Each customer has specific requirements, and you make sure everything is handled to perfection.

  • You lead a team of around 120 employees across several packaging lines.
  • You monitor the production schedule and make adjustments where necessary, for example deciding which orders run on which machines.
  • You directly manage line leaders, coaching, guiding, and evaluating them.
  • You monitor orders and the scanning system, ensuring every pallet is correctly labelled and registered.
  • You safeguard product quality and ensure all customer specifications are met.
  • You work closely with planning, technical, and logistics teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • You manage personnel matters on the shop floor: tracking performance, identifying improvement points, and encouraging growth.
  • You maintain order, cleanliness, and safety on the shop floor.
  • You actively contribute ideas for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • You solve minor technical issues yourself or call in the technical department when needed.

Profile

  • You have experience as a supervisor or team leader in a production or packaging environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • You have technical insight and a solid understanding of production processes.
  • You remain calm under pressure and keep a clear overview.
  • You motivate and inspire employees with a clear and respectful leadership style.
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English; knowledge of Romanian is a strong plus.
  • You work accurately, with a strong focus on quality, and think in solutions.
