Job Content

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer / Architect to make intuitive high level decisions for software development in Proximus Middleware.
You will create architectural approaches for software design and guide the implementation in the development team and act as a technical expert within the development team: you share propositions for enhancements, are open minded for changes and troubleshoot issues that are blocking the path forward.

A great software engineer has a strong technical background and excellent IT skills. They are experienced in designing and possess ability to develop a unified vision for software characteristics and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other professionals to determine and challenge functional and non-functional requirements for new software
  • Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and modelling of the desired product
  • Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
  • Develop high quality grade code according to product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
  • Execute and analyse quality and performance tests on the code
  • Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines within the development team and progress to the management
  • Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
  • Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.

Profile

  • Proven experience as Software Developer / Architect
  • Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
  • Experience in software modelling methods
  • Experience with troubleshooting complex problems
  • Experience with various ways of security integration
  • Familiarity with Enterprise integration patterns in messaging technologies (JMS, SOAP, REST, …)
  • Full stack Developer experience with excellent knowledge of Java EE and JavaScript
  • Understanding of software quality assurance principles
  • A technical mindset with great attention to detail
  • High quality organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
  • MSc/Engineer in computer science, engineering or relevant field
