As a software engineer, you will reinforce our development community where you will put your shoulders under interesting IT projects. You will get acquainted will aspects of retail (e.g. logistics, sales, etc.) and build applications with impact for your colleagues and our customers. The perfect job for a hands-on IT professional!

Your task package as a Software Engineer Java:

  • You develop and maintain applications. You will do this with the help of industry standard tooling (e.g. IntelliJ, Gradle, Gitlab) and technology (e.g. Angular, Java EE, Spring Boot).
  • Together with your colleagues, you support the full life cycle of the applications. Thanks to you, users get the maximum out of this.
  • You will immerse yourself in the integration of applications with other platforms or packages in our challenging IT landscape and ensure a flawless roll-out of the solution to production.
  • As a software engineer, you are also stand-by in case of incidents. You analyse what went wrong, you propose a solution, implement it and follow it up.

You work in Halle, Haasrode, Mechelen or Zwijnaarde and can telework three days a week.

Profile:

  • Knowledge and experience – You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree (IT), at least 3 years of experience with Java development and a passion for IT. Knowledge of Angular is an asset.
  • Analytical skill – You effortlessly keep the overview and focus on the essentials without losing sight of the details.
  • Solution-oriented – You think in terms of solutions and always have a plan B ready.
  • Innovation-minded – The world of IT evolves rapidly but you adapt yourself smoothly and see what the new possibilities are.
  • Languages -You communicate fluently in English.
