Purpose Of The Job
The Software Test engineer plans, designs, implements and runs manual and/or automated tests for design verification and product validation.
Main Accountabilities
Main tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan, design, implement and run test cases (manual and/or automated).
- Analyze and report test results.
- Investigate and troubleshoot problems in products and software as a result of testing, or escalations from field.
- Report and track defects and inconsistencies to development teams.
- Follow up issues and drive for timely solutions. Report progress and escalate deviations.
- Collaborate closely with other team members and departments.
- Work with cross-functional teams to find solutions and ensure quality throughout the product and software development lifecycle.
- Analyze user requirements and system specifications, finding current gaps in test coverage and prepare test scenarios.
- Contribute to project plans by providing time estimates and other relevant input.
- Plan and manage own time to meet time schedules and quality objectives.
- Use available test (automation) frameworks, and contribute to maintenance, improvement and enhancement of such frameworks.
- Assist in other relevant tasks as required by the business or as defined by the team leader.
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Relevant job experience may compensate for missing formal education.
- Experience with testing.
- Experience with products being tested, or similar type of products.
- Experience in the complete test development life cycle of products and software.
- Knowledge of ISTQB standards.
- Feeling with programming and scripting.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
