The Global HR Senior Data Engineer’s job purpose is to lead a team of data engineering experts to plan and deliver the optimised collection, organisation and flow of HR data across the organisation that streamlines employee experience with digital tools and supports the complex needs of dependent business processes and stakeholders. The key accountabilities include:
- Designing, developing and deploying complex data flow and collection of data for cross-functional teams (e.g. data consolidation / transformation for reporting needs)
- Assembling large, complex data sets that meet business requirements (i.e. data transformation for standardization and consistency)
- Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements on data reliability, efficiency and quality (e.g. data process optimization)
- Implementing best practice data migration / transformation standards, ensuring that the optimal data delivery architecture is consistent across projects
- Designing, building and launching new data models (e.g. for use in Power BI reporting)
- Working with colleagues in HR Transformation, IT and the wider business to identify data initiatives and opportunities to enrich existing data sources to answer current and emerging business issues
- Effective management of data project backlog to ensure effective delivery on time and to quality standards
What are we looking for from you?
- Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally/divisionally with other staff
- Proven working experience in working with large HR systems maintaining, utilising and transforming HR data
- Strong IT skills and system knowledge
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders of all levels
- Proven experience in leading large scale data engineering / data transformation / data integration initiatives
- Ability to influence others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
