For Our Client in the Healthcare industry, headquartered in Antwerp We are currently looking for a Strategic Purchaser, you are part of the beating heart of the purchasing process at our client, the largest healthcare organization in Belgium. Within the assigned procurement categories, you play a central role in acquiring high-quality and innovative materials and services. You aim for conditions that are at least market-conforming, while adhering to public procurement regulations and doing so with a strategic long-term vision.

Thanks to your efforts, you have a direct impact on the optimal functioning of the entire hospital and the quality of services they provide to their patients.

Responsibilities

• Within your area of expertise, you are responsible for realizing the procurement planning.

• You develop purchasing strategies and plans for your area of responsibility, aiming to proactively execute the purchasing process. This is done in line with the hospital’s overall purchasing strategy and objectives.

• You play an active role in optimizing existing procurement processes and developing new, cost-efficient procedures.

• You create a strong informal network within our client organization by fostering good relationships with your internal customers, and by extension with all stakeholders.

• You also build a healthy professional relationship with strategic suppliers based on the needs and strategic objectives of our client organization.

• You contribute to achieving the financial goals of our client hospital.

• You diligently and correctly follow all administrative procedures.

• Evaluating and managing supplier performance within your area of expertise is your responsibility.

• You ensure continuity within the procurement department and your area of expertise by ensuring the proper transfer and follow-up of files, including backup when necessary.

• You are willing to work across multiple campuses, given our client locations in Antwerp.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Public Procurement Buyer

Proven knowledge of public procurement legislation

Higher education Master’s degree

Language requirement: Dutch-speaking at European CEFR level C2, English.
