For the Gas Flow Operations division at our headquarters in Brussels (near the train station and subway, see the map here) we’re looking for a System & Development Agent (m/f/x).

The Gas Flow Operations Department deals with the physical management of gas flows, ensuring that our network and facilities are safe to operate and consequently allowing us to fulfil our customers’ gas transmission needs, with an emphasis on quality.

Your
responsibilities

• You will liaise between Dispatching and other departments (e.g. ICT, Commercial, Marketing, Regulatory)
• You will take all measures needed to solve any problems that may arise when handling our customers’ transmission needs, taking into account contractual transmission capacities. You will flag up and explain any anomalies to the partners concerned, who mainly operate from abroad. You will efficiently report on any problems encountered, their causes and solutions
• You will follow up on modifications made to ICT applications relating to Dispatching’s various activities in line with the business and technical rules and users’ needs
• You will compile procedures and instructions for shift staff
• You will organise and coordinate training for Dispatching staff in specific fields (e.g. transit, storage, transmission) and ensure that the necessary training manuals are always up-to-date
• You will support specific projects (new transmission, storage and terminalling models, new operating rules in relation to Gas Flow Operations, etc.)
• You will remain in contact with internal partners (Commercial, Regulatory, ICT ) as well as external partners (shippers, hub customers and neighbouring operators) at all times

you

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor’s degree (A1) in an administrative, logistical or technical field (transport management, business logistics or similar)
• Experience as a Nomination Agent (this would be an asset)
• A keen analytical mind, a knack for seeing the big picture and a head for figures
• An approach to work centred around quality and accuracy
• The ability to work both in a team and independently, excellent interpersonal and (spoken and written) communication skills
• Fluency in French, excellent command of English and a good grasp of Dutch (or a willingness to undergo training to achieve this level of fluency)
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Word and Excel)
