We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Team Lead to join our Corporate Actions High Profile Events team. This role is located in Brussels, Belgium.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Identification of corporate action events with a high value-at-risk using dedicated tools and pre-defined criteria.
Oversee and sign-off that all controls and reconciliation steps carried out by the team have been performed, and that instructions were released to the market timely and accurately.
Oversee and sign-off that corporate action proceeds (cash and/or stock) were paid timely and accurately to clients.
Act as an escalation for the investigation and resolution of complex reconciliation breaks resulting from processing the corporate action.
Act as an escalation point for complex and urgent client inquiries for the identified corporate action events.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Min. 5 years’ experience in processing corporate actions and knowledge of the systems used.
Knowledge of corporate actions on the Euromarkets and the T2S markets.
Capacity to work independently and handle big and complex corporate action events, which involves investigation, research and dealing with different internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to central securities depositories, the securities lending desk, issuer agents, clients, etc.
People management skills preferred.
Good planning skills to ensure that sufficient staffing is available within the team keeping in mind volumes forecasts and the knowledge and skills of the individual team members.
