Technical Operator

Location: Belgium + International Travel

Our client works in the automation and logistics technology sector and offers a supportive, international environment with room to grow. They are looking for an Operator - Automation Systems to support system testing and operation at customer sites. This role suits someone hands-on, proactive, and eager to learn.

You will work in the System Operations team, reporting to the Lead Commissioning Engineer, helping to ensure systems run smoothly before final handover to the customer.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and test automated systems at customer sites in Belgium and abroad.

• Monitor system behaviour and report issues, bugs, or irregularities.

• Keep clear daily logs of findings and troubleshooting steps.

• Work with commissioning engineers, product specialists, and customer teams.

• Act as a contact point for customer feedback during the pre-handover phase.

Requirements:

• Experience in logistics/automation is a plus.

• Willing to work shifts, in cold-store environments, and at heights.

• Able to travel up to 60%.

• Comfortable using software tools and doing minor hands-on repairs.

• Good English skills; other EU languages are an advantage.

• MS Office + Teams proficiency.

• Customer-friendly, solution-oriented, and eager to learn.

• Driving licence required.
