Your Mission

Reporting into the Head of Sales BtoC, the trade & category manager is responsible for the implementation of the Corporate brand and the development of the category strategies in Belgium.
The T&CM will support the key account team to build Joint Business Plans (JBP) with their customers through driving insights and activation and will also follow up on execution of these plans (so also customer facing). He/she will also own and support all processes linked to launching products at buying groups (branded & private label).

Your responsibilities

  • Translate international strategies and guidelines on brands, NPL’s and Private Labels for Key Accounts into local actionable tools.
  • Coordinate between brand managers and key account team on communication and implementation of agreed plans.
  • Be the voice of key accounts within the marketing community (making sure they get the right support and tools in the right timeframe).
  • Manage the trade marketing budget in collaboration with Finance Work with the international trade marketing community on getting category insights and tools to share and implement locally.
  • Own the data transformation process within the company, from ‘having’ data, to using data to drive insights that help shape our relationship and drive category captainship with key accounts.
  • Support implementation of JBP’s by providing the right resources to customers (visuals, product information, campaigns, etc).
  • Develop the promotional calendar for the company’s products and coordinate the execution of it in collaboration with brand managers, S&OP and finance.
  • Assess ROI of promotions and activities and makes continuous improvement.

Your Personal skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in business, finance or marketing or similar by relevant experience and/or education.
  • Professional level of English speaking/writing required Native speaker in Dutch and/or French.
  • A first experience in category management or sales analyses is a must.
  • A first experience in working with external (design/creative) agencies is a plus.
  • Experience in account management is a plus.
  • Intermediate or expert level in Excel, basic knowledge of Powerpoint Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Pro-active and with a hands-on can-do attitude
