We are working with a pharmaceutical company in Belgium that are currently seeking a Transport Specialist for EMEA. The Transport Specialist for EMEA will ensure seamless day-to-day execution of transport activities throughout the EMEA region while serving as the primary contact for all transport-related matters.

Main responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily operational oversight of shipping activities from key regional facilities.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the regional Customer Services team regarding transport issues, facilitating solutions by liaising with the client’s transport providers.
  • Proactively track and trace critical transport lanes/destinations.
  • Assist in claim submissions to logistics providers and manage customer complaints related to transport.
  • Contribute to the documentation of business processes and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform regular analysis of transport data for the EMEA Freight Manager.
  • Develop accurate and detailed analyses of volume, spend, and performance metrics (KPIs) for the EMEA business.
  • Provide essential freight data for inclusion in the regional Monthly Ops Report.

Main requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in forwarding, working with transport companies, and understanding their operations.
  • Excellent command of English (proficiency in Dutch is advantageous).
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working with databases is a plus.
  • Proficient analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of generating clear reports.
  • Sound knowledge of the logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of customs processes and procedures.
  • Collaborative team player ready to support colleagues when necessary.
