Make your mark for patients

UCB is an international biopharmaceutical company primarily engaged in the research, development, and commercialization of pharmaceutical and biotechnological products. Your mission:

To accelerate UCB’s environmental program and support to deliver our Climate Net Zero ambition, we need a VIE resource to focus on 2 high-impact areas:

Driving Climate Accountability in Clinical Trials: manage the Green clinical trial project : follow-up and track progress of the calculation of the CO₂e footprint for clinical trials, track actions to establish a robust baseline and support the creation of governance processes. This will ensure that all new trials are equipped with the data and frameworks needed for truly environmentally conscious decision-making—embedding sustainability at the heart of our innovation pipeline.

Empowering sustainable mobility through positive experiences and targeted communications: design and deploy targeted communication toolkits to drive impactful behavioral change around mobility (business travel, employee commuting, car fleet). By tailoring messages for key personas and major markets (with a special focus on the USA), and by creating positive, demystifying experiences for colleagues, this role will empower colleague to be an agent of change, ensuring our climate ambitions translate into measurable, lasting impact.

Your profile:

  • Degree: Generalist engineer with experience in environmental improvement, project management, or communication.
  • Ability to design targeted and engaging communication materials.
  • Skill in adapting messages to different profiles (personas) and regions (America, EU, Asia).
  • Pedagogical approach to simplify environmental issues and create positive experiences.
  • Ability to structure governance processes related to sustainability.
  • Project management and multi-stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Initiative and autonomy.
  • Sensitivity to environmental and climate issues.
  • Ability to unite and mobilize around a common goal; collaborative spirit.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), as the position has an international scope.

Please note that this program is in partnership with Business France, and we follow the prerequisites required by Business France to carry out a VIE assignment. The main participation prerequisites are as follows:

  • Be between 18 and 28 years old;
  • Hold the nationality of a member country of the European Economic Area;
  • Have not worked or lived in the country where the mission will take place;
  • Be available to dedicate yourself to the mission full-time;
  • If you have French nationality or dual nationality, be in compliance with the national service obligations of France (Numéro Identifiant Défense);
  • Have a clean criminal record.

If you do not meet all these conditions, we will not be able to consider your application.
