Job Purpose and Impact

The R&D Data Analyst is part of the R&D Center EMEA organization, located in Vilvoorde (Belgium). You will provide support to improve data quality across the organization. Your passion for data driven and analytical insights will be a key enabler to improve the customer experience through tools used for product prototyping and digital customer collaboration. In this role, you will provide assistance to ensure data standards are defined, documented and deployed across moderately complex projects and steady state data management. You will have the exciting opportunity to participate in and help shape the digitalization strategy of R&D, making sure the data and processes work together to support and further improve our customer facing activities.

Key Accountabilities
  • Define, document and deploy data standards within moderately complex projects and steady state data management.
  • Monitor data quality across the core data domains and provide leadership in the resolution of data quality deviations and issues.
  • Partner with the business, data management operations and functions to address nonconformance to data standards.
  • Ensure compliance to data standards, perform data quality monitoring and data corrections across the organization.
  • Provide system support, maintain application and respond to end user’s requests, perform system administration tasks, create and maintain training materials and give internal training;
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or PhD in data science, computer science, Food Science or related field
  • Confirmed experience in implementing data governance or data quality initiatives in the business
  • Confirmed ability to present to non-technical audiences
  • Insight in what is needed to design, build, maintain and/or support an application, infrastructure, or other technology
  • Experience in agriculture
