Job Purpose and Impact

The Retail Account Manager will develop customer sales strategies and build relationships with honesty and integrity. In this role, you will help identify and contact prospective customers and build relationships and contribute to assessing customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions that maximize product revenue and improves profitability

Key Accountabilities

  • Creating a customer strategy and action plan tailored to each account
  • Growing the business with current retail customer accounts in Germany and in Benelux
  • Identifying new customer accounts and develop new business
  • Actively cross-selling products to customers
  • Actively pursuing transactional and value-based pricing within the guidelines set by the product group pricing functions
  • Negotiating with customers on sales opportunities and close deals on lower service level than direct sales
  • Managing contract execution
  • Meeting and/ or exceeding sales revenue and pricing targets
  • Advising and be actively involved in target setting, implementation of regional/corporate targets and the development of a business plan
  • Keeping up-to-date with relevant product & market knowledge, customer landscapes, market trends and innovations
  • Process customer orders and manage overall order fill rate and on time delivery service.
  • Gather and communicate channel, market, customer or competitive information and intelligence and interact with team on strategy and pricing functions.
  • Manage contracts and risk with pricing and trade promotions teams and resolve and coordinate the investigation of claims and disputes.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven negotiation and selling skills and experience
  • Minimum of five o years of related work experience
  • Fluent English, German and Dutch language skill is a must
  • Flexiblity for travelling -20 %
