General Description of the Role

  • The role ensures that accounting activities are executed properly for Campari Benelux in close collaboration with Shared Services Center
  • Supports the preparation of local financial statement and in close collaboration with Shared Services Center ensures the execution of all the accounting transactions with proper accuracy, and in line with Group policies and deadlines

Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Responsible for Group Statutory and Local reporting
  • Leads the external audit and, when necessary, fiscal, and VAT audits
  • Support tax department on a range of topics
  • Credit control, A/R ageing monitoring and dunning letters submission
  • Verifies invoice presence, accuracy and carries out follow-up
  • Checks payment lists and incoming payment postings from Shared Services Center
  • Create requests for SAP postings
  • Runs monthly, quarterly and yearly closure activities
  • Support shared service accounting team
  • Creates Purchase Orders into SAP if necessary, verifying compliance with statutory and fiscal regulations and internal accounting procedures
  • Supports colleagues or external stakeholders’ inquiries
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Maintains the necessary documentation
  • Prepares requested internal and intercompany reports
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls

Experience Required

  • Bachelor in Accounting
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably within an Accounting/ Finance team of a multinational company)
  • Experience in FMCG business is a plus

Skills

Technical

  • SAP proficiency
  • Clear understanding of accounting logics and principles
  • Knowledge of Belgium tax laws
  • Knowledge of International Accounting Standards
  • Knowledge of electronic workflow invoices managament system
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Fluency in French, Dutch, and English
