We are seeking applications for a Senior Deskside Technician based at the client’s Mechelen site following an expansion by the Deskside team.The Senior Deskside Technician will be predominantly providing Hardware Support to the client’s European locations whilst also supporting users on site and providing remote support for the client’s Belgium sites.The successful candidate will also be the Site Lead for the Deskside team at the Mechelen site for all escalations reporting to the regional Team Leader.
  • Point of contact for the Deskside team for the Mechelen site including dealing with any escalations relevant to the team on site;
  • Imaging and configuration of Desktop & Laptops for deployment of new hires and Break/Fix incidents;
  • Respond to computer related service and trouble calls (Desktops/Laptops) - Hardware and Software; Troubleshooting;
  • Ability to resolve Windows 10 Operating System Errors;
  • Basic Network troubleshooting skills and knowledge;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 2013/2016/365 Suite;
  • Correctly track incidents and calls timely and accurately;
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Microsoft Group Policy Objects experience;
  • Implement virus detection and eradication procedures;
  • Diagnose printer and other peripheral device failures and implement solutions;
  • Provide installation and upgrade services of supported hardware and software;
  • Some hardware support experience required e.g. installing memory/hard drives Support of key engineering applications at use within the business;
  • Manage and maintain Hardware assets including ordering of equipment when stock levels require it;
  • Carrying out disposals of IT assets when required and carrying out quarterly Inventory Management;

  • 5 Years" experience in an IT Support Role;
  • Flexible as some cover at alternative sites will be required (driving license required);
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences Strong sense of customer service;
  • Previous Experience of ServiceNow is preferred;
  • Good organizational skills;
  • Excellent English, Dutch and French Language, Written and Spoken;
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills;
  • Ability to multitask;
  • Team focused.
