As a Senior Manager in the Risk Analytics team, you will lead the strategy and business development of our offering in key industries, and manage projects from the inception phase to their final implementation and dissemination. By understanding the latest trends in data analytics, cloud and machine learning, you will, together with Deloitte’s industry leaders, identify the needs of our clients and grow our Risk Analytics practice.

Your role will span business development and sales, projects and solution delivery and team leadership activities:

Business development & sales:

• Through a combination of your knowledge of the market and functional expertise, you will work together with Deloitte’s business leaders to drive business development in specific industries and segments, e.g., Life Sciences & Healthcare, Government & Public Services, or other. This implies you will explore business needs, define project proposal and bring them to our clients
• When needed, you identify and set the required partnerships with external organisations (e.g. start-ups, tech vendors, academia) to bring the best value to our clients
  
  

Delivering Risk Analytics projects:

• You manage project teams and be responsible for delivering to our clients impactful solutions in the domains of business intelligence, data management, technology and next-generation analytics and technologies, including big data, cloud, and machine learning
• You establish long term relationships with clients
  
  

Team leadership:

• You are part of the Risk Analytics Team management and commit to being a team player
• You contribute to attracting and retaining talent while clearly leading by example. As a leader of a fast-growing and diverse group of skilled people, you will ensure that (together with our HR team) we continue to develop innovative ways to enhance both retention and recruitment of our people

Let’s Talk About You

In order to be successful in this role, we believe that the below characteristics are important. However, we do not expect candidates to necessarily match all the requirements.

• At least 8 years of relevant experience spanning scientific research, data science, consulting and business development
• Expertise in applications of advanced data analytics to solve business problems, ability to identify the best fit between technology and purpose, and leading implementation projects
• Specific experience in Lifesciences & Healthcare or Government & Public Sector is a strong plus
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis and analytic approaches in a clear, precise, and actionable manner, and this with a range of stakeholders, from team members to business leadership
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python), database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), cloud solutions (e.g., Azure Cognitive services) and other tools required to solve our clients’ challenges
• Comfort manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensional data from varying sources
• Fluent in English AND Dutch and/or French
• Take responsibility and are pro-active, always being one-step ahead
• Team player and show enthusiasm for supporting the development of others but you can also easily work independently
• Analytical mindset and are eager to learn
• Ability to identify the best resources to support you beyond your area of expertise.
