We are looking for a talented and dedicated Senior Manual QA Tester to join the newly formed Digital Commerce / Web Platforms technology organization which powers TUI’s global e-commerce services and solutions across all European markets. The Senior Manual QA Tester will be responsible for creating a culture of continuous improvement within the wider quality community.

About The Job
  • Passionate owner of quality, for future deliveries and the live experience of your multimillion € product. You will ensure that you have relevant reports available on defects in development, and live, and understanding of the digital analytics and the customer feedback for your area;
  • Test reporting and communications to complex, multi region stakeholders, whilst also ensuring that defects/issues are prioritized and scheduled for delivery;
  • Managing and leading Manual QA Testers and providing guidance and working together to ensure successful test preparation and test execution, in a pod of 3 scrum teams;
  • Responsible for the overall test planning process within your product team;
  • Exploratory testing of the TUI fly websites, and your Manual QA Testers’ product areas;
  • Monitoring the quality of the digital selling platform in production, ensuring that production defects or opportunities are captured and prioritized in the backlog;
  • Understand the source of the defects, so that the defects can be resolved as quickly as possible, ensuring the least disruption to the test execution schedule;
  • Understand the potential impact of any defect delivered into production, therefore using this to determine the priority of the defects;
  • Agreeing acceptance criteria for new stories, and approval of those acceptance criteria through the agile process;
  • During test sign off, work alongside business stakeholders so that they fully understand any risks associated to a defect entering into Production together with any mitigating actions.

About You
  • An ambitious and inquisitive individual with proven experience in a testing role and a good understanding of eCommerce;
  • Experience of working in a development/product life cycle with a good understanding, and appreciation of agile methodology;
  • A customer-centric who’s passionate about continuous improvement in order to deliver a best-in-class digital customer experience;
  • Previously experience of line managing multiple individuals would be beneficial;
  • Previous experience working with TUI IT and business systems is desirable, but not essential;
  • An analytical skill set would be beneficial, preferably with experience in web analytics such as Adobe Analytics & Qualtrics;
  • The ability to manage your own time in a demanding, time-sensitive role and work comfortably within an environment of ambiguity and a high degree of complexity;
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge decisions where necessary, and strong organizational skills with a great attention to detail and appreciation of auditing and reporting capability;
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, influence behaviour and change opinions based on business knowledge, experience and competence;
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (the successful candidate will need to work early mornings to support production go-live implementation).
