Your profile:
- Outgoing proactive personality with excellent project management & teamwork skills with customer mindset
- Master or Bachelor in logistics, procurement or related discipline such as commercial / economical engineering is a must
- Problem solver with hands on mentality
- Genuinely interested in the automotive industry & supply chain management
- Attention to detail and enjoys working in an active supply environment
- Excellent knowledge on Power BI reporting, Office 365 applications (Excel & Access)
- 5 to 10 years of experience in inventory management and demand planning is an asset
- Fluent in English as business language is necessary

Your team and your responsibilities
Group description:
Located just outside Brussels is our European Distribution Centre in Diest called Toyota Parts Centre Europe (TPCE) employing 930 people. It is responsible for the procurement, storage and logistics supply of a dedicated range of Toyota/Lexus spare parts, accessories and technical campaign parts supporting both the new car sales and existing customer vehicles service and warranty needs.
The Diest facility itself receives parts from over 700 different suppliers (from Japan to local suppliers) managing over 250,000 part numbers and >150 trucks per day in a dedicated 100,000m2 facility. It’s 2 outbound logistics roles covers; providing direct overnight supply to >600 Toyota dealers in local region and supporting the 13 European Regional Distribution Centres to ensure a consistent high level of Just-In-Time service to all National Marketing & Sales Companies (NMSC’s) and Toyota dealers within Europe and our final customers beyond.
Your challenge:
- Appropriate sales forecasting process and accuracy ensuring on time availability considering end customer demand (regular & irregular)
- Project management on various demand planning & inventory control improvement activities leading to lean inventory and forecast accuracy improvement (Kaizen mindset)
- Problem solving with Toyota external and TME internal related divisions on stock & forecast abnormalities respecting the Toyota Way.
- Various process mapping & kaizen activities in view of a major new logistics software roll out
- Ensure appropriate inventory of parts/accessories In TPCE main warehouse and the regional depots through proper parameters & policies to allow most effective supply to our Parts Supply Chain Group (PSCG) customers in a cost-efficient manner.
- KPI follow-up and analysis resulting is action plans to close any potential gap to meet the targets
