Friends of Europe (FoE) is looking to recruit a Social Media Manager (m/f/x)

Our communication team is looking for a dynamic, social media savvy communicator, based in Brussels. This position is responsible for managing all the organisation’s social media output across all our platforms.

JOB AND CONTRACT TYPE:

Permanent contract in our Brussels Office, remote home office possible 3 days a week.

Starting date : ASAP

MAIN DUTIES and RESPONSABILITIES

• Help devise and implement the social media strategy
• Provide input into social media procedures
• Develop and maintain a social media calendar using Asana
• Oversee, plan, draft and deliver compelling content for different platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook) using scheduling tools such as SocialPilot, Tweetdeck, Keyhole and Later
• Develop, launch and manage new campaigns
• Form key relations with influencers across the social media platforms
• Undertake audience research
• Manage and facilitate social media communities to engage and develop discussions
• Monitor channels for any risks or opportunities
• Monitor, track, compile and analyse metrics reports for performance and impact using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook insights
• Propose outreach and engagement improvements
• Support the preparation, posts and live tweeting for events
• Provide event analytics for post-event engagement reports
• Advise other teams with Friends of Europe on how to promote their products and events
• Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity
• Curate content across channels

The position will report to the Communication & Events Director.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE

• A university degree in the field of communication with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency with social media post schedulers: Social Pilot & Later
• Proficiency with monitoring and analytics platforms used by FOE
• A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms
• Knowledge and understanding of algorithms and search engine optimisation
