We are looking for a Specialist, Market Intelligence to join our global Marketing organisation.

As the Market Intelligence Specialist, you provide actionable and strategic market insights to our key stakeholders in sales, marketing, and product management. The role is a key contributor to gathering, analysing, and interpreting data on Basware’s market, key industry trends, and existing competitors helping to develop strategies to identify profitable opportunities and mitigate potential challenges.

In this role, you will be systematically collecting and analysing information from multiple sources, combining internal and external knowledge, and consolidating information into actionable items, reports, and presentations to effectively position Basware and enhance enhancing the product roadmap.

The role will develop and deliver high-quality, compelling presentations to present key insights. You will also participate in company-wide market intelligence projects and activities.

This is a new role strengthening the Insight function at Basware and sits with the Proposition Marketing group. Working closely with and reporting to the Director, Customer and Market Insight, the role will build and maintain a deep awareness of, continuously sharing market and competitor information, providing an understanding of how the market is changing and helping to prioritize based on this insight.

Key responsibilities:

Through research and insights, provide support to marketing and sales teams helping to position Basware against the competition.
  • Delivering assigned tasks in the area of market and competitor research
  • Delivering high-quality analyses and recommendations based on different data resources, internal and external
  • Working collaboratively with other functions, create and update competitor benchmarks and battle cards
  • Understand, analyze and report on key trends in the Purchase-to-Pay industry
  • Contribute to agreed global initiatives to create compelling messaging and to improve competitiveness in the select target market
Experience And Essential Core Attributes
  • 2-3 years of similar experience, experience in an analytical role and providing insight and recommendations based on analysis
  • Experience and working knowledge of research methods
  • Ability to simplify complex information into a user-friendly format
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of and interest in learning about the Source-to-Pay market
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree
