For the expansion of our team, argenx is looking for an extra colleague for to support Strategy & Business Operations for EMEA. The seniority of the position could vary depending on the level of experience of the selected candidate.argenx has in Europe currently offices in Ghent and Geneva, but we are flexible towards location.
Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
You will contribute to the business processes and operations required to support the commercialization of argenx products in Europe. This includes strategic business planning, forecasting, governance, and management operations for Europe. The role will collaborate closely with different areas, including, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Legal/Compliance, Medical Affairs, Human Resources, and Finance, among others. The role will also liaise closely with US and Japanese business partners to ensure global alignment on commercialization strategies.
Your Primary Areas Of Focus Are
- Identify critical commercial operational capabilities, required to establish individual roles and teams, business processes, and systems required to support commercialization (e.g. materials review procedures, pricing governance, CRM systems, sales reporting)
- Contribute to the business strategy plan for Europe, supporting the development and alignment of individual functional plans. Coordinate the reviews of plans of execution
- Effectively manage multiple external vendor/partner relationships to ensure high quality services, the utmost compliance with the company and industry policies, practices and regulations, and seamless integration with internal processes and teams
- Build and manage the business forecasting and review process to ensure excellence in guiding future business expectations, assessing performance, and identifying course-correcting activities, working cross-functionally with other commercialization leaders
- Build and manage the activities of Training and Development including the development, implementation, and active management of training strategies, plans and processes to support organizational goals. Responsible for all training programs involving customer-facing roles, working closely with commercial, medical, and legal/compliance colleagues
- Build and manage the day to day collection of market insights, including the execution of primary and secondary market research, tracking competitive landscape and presenting insights, advanced analytics including ROI measurement, and development of global competitive intelligence activities including landscape tracking
- Build and manage the day to day activities of Sales Operations including field force sizing, targeting and segmentation, territory alignment, incentive compensation design and administration, sales analytics/reporting, field technologies, and reporting
- Rigorously assess each commercial capability to determine whether to build from within or outsource and obtain organizational buy-in to recommendations
- Demonstrated experience and excellence in Corporate Finance (banking, due diligence, and financial analysis) & Corporate Development
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience within the biopharmaceutical industry
- Scientific education/background & experience working in Private Equity/VC’s is a plus
- Strong financial planning and analysis skills
- Solid business, planning and budget management acumen
- Good understanding of regulatory and legal requirements to pharmaceutical commercial operations
- You are versatile and like to work across different areas (Business Planning & Forecasting, Commercial Analytics, Commercial Operations, Project Management, Alliance management…)
- You excel in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly accountable environment, often with a high degree of ambiguity
- You are a connector, building relationships and partnering across the organization to achieve the company goals
- You are pragmatic, yet creative and innovative and lead while "rolling up your sleeves" to get it done
