The department International Projects, located in Grimbergen, is looking for an experienced Subcontract Manager to realize our ever-challenging objectives.

As a Subcontract Manager, you are responsible for all subcontractor purchasing activities for large and complex projects, and in close collaboration with the Project Manager and Project Purchaser.

You are acting as a discussion partner from the quotation phase to the completion of a project.

  • you are actively involved in defining the purchasing and execution strategy
  • you analyse the market and the development of cooperation agreements for your specific categories, i.c. subcontracting
  • you negotiate with subcontractors with taking into account all specific needs of the projects
  • you provide advice and collaborate with the project team
  • you ensure that the internal customer’s requests are processed in accordance with specific guidelines
  • you check and monitor the contractual conditions and act accordingly in case of deviation
  • you provide reports on the results achieved and the status of the purchasing process
  • you anticipate and intervene on possible flaws such as delay, budget overrun, inefficiency… in subcontractor performance

Qualifications

It’s you we’ve been looking for, with:

  • your master’s in engineering, economics or law
  • your relevant experience in project purchasing for large projects in international context
  • your proven experience in contracting, negotiating and/or project procurement
  • ideally, your knowledge of international subcontracting and market players (big plus)
  • your problem-solving, accurate and numerical skills
  • your communicative, flexible and stress resistance attitude
  • your team spirit with a sense for initiative
  • your very good knowledge of Dutch and/or French and English (German is a plus)
