We are excited to be recruiting for a Head of Supply & Logistics to oversee the Purchasing, Planning and Warehouse teams based at our Medgenix facility in Belgium (Wevelgem).
The Head of Supply & Logistics will ensure that the reporting teams work effectively with both the internal Medgenix teams and the wider (Perrigo) organisation. This will include managing different processes from procurement of raw materials and packaging components, converting demand into detailed production plans through warehousing and distribution of products to the customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead internal teams
- Purchasing
- Planning
- Internal and external contract warehouse
- Lead the monthly local SI&OP process
- Ensure that the supply planning process is well-managed and in line with the capabilities and capacity of the factory
- Define tactical manufacturing plan for the site (current and years 2 & 3), in close collaboration with Head of Process & Innovation and Head of Operations
- Ensure that any constraint or deviation immediately gets identified, communicated (or escalated if needed) to allow a feasible recover plan
- Be an active member of the Site Leadership Team
- Actively contributing to the site transformation and continuous improvement culture
- Lead strategic projects (e.g., sustainability projects, product transfers into the factory...)
- Drive customer service improvements
- Work with production and quality teams to maximise the throughput of the factory to delivery on customer promises
- Ensure compliance with GMP and GDP requirements for reporting teams, and contributing to maintain ‘safe’ work environment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts: both within Perrigo and with our contract customers
- Coach and train the team to maximise the team’s contribution – in order to foster High Performing Team Culture
Minimum Requirements
- University Degree in (Business) Engineering / Economics or equivalent
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain and / or Logistics ideally in a (pharmaceutical / regulated) manufacturing environment
- Efficient use of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP is a plus
- 5 years of experience in people management
- Proficiency in English and Dutch, and (proactive) communicator
- Good networking and influencing skills
- Team player with a collaborative spirit and “can do” attitude
- Problem solving skills and result-driven
