A Transformation Programme has been established for Supply Chain to develop the supply chain capabilities required to support GSK’s growth ambition. This Programme will drive alignment and accelerate value creation across Commercial, Operations, Finance and GSC. It will create the foundation for an accelerated, digital transformation of the end-to-end Supply Chains to drive revenue, profitability, and improved working capital.
The Supply Chain Transformation Planning Manager will support execution, design, and delivery of the Planning Transformation programme milestones. Working with the Transformation Planning Director and colleagues within operational planning teams, the role will help to define the future requirements aligned to our vision, and then partner internally and externally to support the design, build, test and implementation of the processes and technologies (OMP, and advanced Decision Intelligence capabilities) that will realise the vision.
The Supply Chain Transformation Planning Manager must be a subject matter expert, but must also be innovate and agile, and be able to propose and shape solutions to deliver transformational change in capability and the enabling processes, technology and people that support it.
The role will need to influence a wide range of stakeholders to gain commitment to objectives and to identify and resolve risks/interdependencies.
SC Transformation Workstreams are global, driving transformation and acceleration as part of one GSC. Integration with other workstreams and tech will be critical to success.

In this role you will…
- Provide Planning expertise and leadership to execute on the design and implementation of the Planning Transformation
- Partner with Global Process Owners to define the processes, systems and capabilities of the future
- Partner with Business teams, functional teams and stakeholders to support the definition of Planning business requirements, and then ensure business requirements are addressed in the design of “to-be” processes and technologies
- Support creation of the capability release roadmap through the implementation of Decision Intelligence tools and a sequenced build and test of core, and then advanced, APS functionalities
- Propose value creation opportunities within the overall implementation plan facilitated by deployment of new capabilities
- Support communications to the wider business, and inspire the adoption of changes into business processes, systems and teams
- Deliver agreed Workstream milestones, KPIs, budgets and interdependencies.
- Input into Workstream and SC Transformation governance processes, identifying and implementing decisions needed, risk identification/ management/ mitigation
- Maintain strong and supportive relationships with business and tech teams, establishing networks cross-functionally and end to end, and listening to the Voice of the Customer
- Model GSK Behaviours with an enterprise mindset as a leader working across GSK and lead by example, working successfully with different cultures
- Create a supportive atmosphere in which to provide coaching, feedback and support to team members and extended team
Qualifications & Skills:
- Qualification in a supply chain or operational related discipline - logistics, supply/demand management, operational management
- Pharmaceutical / Vaccines Experience
- Substantial experience in planning process and tools, supply chain/operations.
- Proven Leadership and people skills
- Accountability mindset
- Demonstrated experience in implementing change and a continuous improvement mindset
- Experience of working in different cultures to collaborate and build relationships
- Demonstrable credibility with/management of senior stakeholders
- Problem solving abilities suitable for handling highly complex issues
- Leading edge knowledge of Supply Chain processes and supporting systems within a global business environment
- Self-motivated, confident and resilient
- Business proficiency in English langue is a must, French is a plus
- Strong understanding of business drivers, objectives and challenges. Proven business acumen
- Strong leadership and high influencing skills across many stakeholder levels
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to interact, influence, and manage multiple and varied business contacts, both internal and external, often with different requirements and goals
