Taken en verantwoordelijkhedenAs a System Engineerat ASP, you will be in charge of building, managing and supporting complex customer IT infrastructure using leading edge technologies. You provide operational support (2nd and 3rd line) and you implement, you patch, you upgrade or you migrate client’s infrastructure (eg.VMWare, Hyper-V, Office 365, Azure,…). The more experienced you get the more complex your tasks will become.Tasks and responsibilitiesTogether with your team, you are responsible for the operational management of the infrastructure of the clients assigned to you.As Our System Engineer, Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Incident and service request handling in accordance with our internal processes
  • Implementation of projects for the client within the negotiated scope taking into consideration technical possibilities, respecting milestones and deadlines
  • Staying up to date with technology evolutions and making sure your knowledge remains ahead of the curve
  • Grow and gain experience, become a subject matter expert in your field and guide your colleagues with their complex technical questions
  • Ownership for the client relationship: you are recognized by the client as a technical expert, from whom to seek advise
  • Support our sales team with your technical expertise
  • Technical/technological discussions with the clients
  • Be part of our 24×7 support team
Profiel kandidaatHow do you qualify for this position?
  • Belgian residents only!
  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT
  • You have good communication skills in English and Dutch or French (or both)
  • You have good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You are adept at creating and improving high-quality assessed as-build documentation, implementation procedures and processes
  • You can work both independently and in a team
  • You consider our customer’s needs and are willing to go the extra mile to deliver a solution
  • You have an eye for performance, scalability
  • Stress-resistant and you are not afraid of a fast-paced environment.
Medior PositionTechnical skills :
  • At least +5 years of experience as a System Engineer, with experience managing autonomously several hosting infrastructure and/or End User Computing implementation projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server/10 and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating systems including various high availability technologies.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, ADFS, Exchange, IIS, SCCM and Intune.
  • Experience with VMware data center virtualization products: ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, Horizon, SRM and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Worked with Fibre / iSCSI SAN, NAS and NFS storage systems.
  • Working experience with Microsoft Azure, the ideal candidate has achieved the Azure Administrator Associate Microsoft certification.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, focusing on (disaster) recovery techniques.
  • Experience with backup, enterprise infrastructure monitoring, vulnerability management and patching products.
  • Familiar with the Dell or HP server, storage & networking portfolio.
