TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER / CALCULATOR

Position Summary

Lambrechts, a globally recognized leader in kegging equipment manufacturing, established in 1961 and renowned for their state-of-the-art kegging solutions, serves a wide range of clients—from local craft brewers to multinational beverage giants. All of their high-quality machines are designed, engineered, and assembled at their facility in Puurs-Sint-Amands, Belgium.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Internal Technical Sales Engineer / Calculator to join our internal team supporting the commercial operations of our keg washing and filling product line. This individual will be responsible for providing technical sales support, calculating detailed equipment quotes, preparing customer-specific proposals, and acting as a crucial link between the sales, engineering, and project departments.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in mechanical or industrial engineering, excellent analytical skills, and a good understanding of brewery processes and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Sales Support

• Interpret customer inquiries and specifications to propose suitable keg line configurations.

• Collaborate with sales managers to prepare technically accurate offers and project cost estimations.

• Support the external sales team with internal technical documentation, CAD layout suggestions, and system configuration guidelines.

2. Calculations & Quotation Preparation

• Calculate project-specific pricing based on bill of materials (BoM), standard costs, and project complexity.

• Maintain and update pricing models for modular system components and customized solutions.

• Prepare comprehensive technical-commercial proposals, including scope of supply, machine specifications, and utility requirements.

3. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as liaison between sales, design, engineering, and project teams to ensure technical feasibility and consistency of offers.

• Participate in internal design reviews for new or customized equipment solutions.

• Ensure alignment of calculations with project timelines, resource availability, and procurement constraints.

4. Data Management & Documentation

• Manage and maintain quotation databases, CRM records, and proposal archives.

• Assist in updating internal product catalogues and configurator tools.

• Monitor and report on proposal success rates, trends, and market feedback.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar internal technical sales or estimation role.

• Familiarity with food or beverage processing equipment—preferably in breweries.

• Solid understanding of pneumatics, automation, and fluid handling systems.

• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or SolidWorks) is a plus.

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.

• Fluent in English & Dutch, French is an asset.

• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
