Septentrio is a leading supplier of highly accurate GPS/GNSS receivers for demanding applications, requiring accuracies in the decimeter or centimeter range, even under difficult conditions. We provide OEM modules as well as system level GPS/GNSS receivers to our global customer base in machine control and construction, land and marine survey, mobile mapping, drones and more.

Septentrio is headquartered in Leuven, Belgium and has offices in Torrance (California), Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo, Espoo, and partners throughout the world. For its R&D department in Leuven, Belgium, Septentrio is seeking to hire a highly motivated professional for the following function:

TEST ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION

The test engineer does the functional and technical testing of Septentrio’s products or products in development and the analysis of the test results. The test engineer ensures the quality of the end product by identifying bugs prior to customer exposure, resulting in the end user getting the best user experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a test engineer, you have following responsibilities:

  • You plan and perform (field) test campaigns.
  • You design & execute test procedures.
  • Analyse data to detect anomalies. You also do recommendations for improvement of products.
  • Characterize and Report on performance.
  • Write scripts and programs to automate the execution of tests and data analysis.
  • Report the defects and follow-up on firmware adaptations.
  • Work in close co-operation with software developers and other test engineers.

YOU

You hold an MSc of a BSc in Computer/Electrical/Industrial/Geomatics Engineering, Physics, or equivalent and you have at least 3 years experience in a similar role.

You are fluent in Matlab, Python and C.

We’re looking for a team-player and critical thinker with a strong sense of quality. You have a can-break mentality, and you are able to project yourself into the perception of the customer.

You have a analytic mindset and good communications skills to share your findings about the data.

You have excellent English skills.
