Job Overview

The automotive industry is imposing more and more tests and analyses when introducing new products. For this purpose the TE Test Lab Oostkamp has an extensive range of state of the art test and inspection equipment at its disposal. For the supervision of these tests, which are performed by the test technician, we are looking for a test engineer.

Your responsibility will be to prepare, support during the execution and to report various tests on components according to prescribed test methods and procedures.

Your Tasks Will Include
  • Preparing the test plan
  • Allocation of load to test technicians based on priorities
  • Providing a Confirmed End Date to the customers
  • Handling accurately and maintaining good condition of all test equipment
  • Extending technical information and conducting training activities to new entries to the laboratory
  • Monitoring the reference standard publication and technical literatures
  • Maintaining measurement sheets and copy of test reports
  • Failure analysis and finding root cause
  • Verification of stocks, informing purchase dpt for obtaining required materials in advance
  • Verify and approve test results
  • When non-conformities are detected, halting of work, do corrective actions and restart the work
  • Reviewing the test reports which are generated by the test technicians
  • Preparation of own test reports
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Engineering degree in electromechanics or equivalent
  • At least 5 years professional experience
  • Experience in running mechanical, electrical and analytical tests
  • Knowledge in the set-up of test equipment
  • Skills in using LabVIEW would be beneficial
  • Experience in writing test reports
  • Accurate and precise way of working
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Dutch and English language skills will be required for this position
