Job purpose: Lead a central program which aims at deploying Lean Factory Design activities in the organization during the execution of CAPEX Projects as well as leading the program that aims at implementing several key pillars out of 8 of the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) framework (Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement on the shopfloor, Education and training, Quality Maintenance, Planned Maintenance). For several topics, works in coordination for the specialist of the global asset management team.
Your Responsibilities
- Lean Factory Design:
- Accountable to review the CAPEX investment plan and identify critical project that will benefits from lean factory design workshop to accelerate delivery time, reduce investment requirement, reduce costs and continuously increase safely, quality and reliability by design technics.
- Ensure that maintenance and safety experts are fully embedded with the CAPEX projects so that process and equipment safety requirements are fully embedded in the equipment and facility design and execution phases.
- Ensure that TPM requirements (visual management, visual defect detection identification, automated error detection...) are fully integrated in the design to minimize future planned / unplanned downtime and maximize operator care.
- Ensure that equipment standardization is part of the gate review process.
- Manage workshop with the CAPEX and user teams at different steps of the project to review and challenge flows using technics such as Value Stream Mapping and Pull flow.
- Ensure recommendation are embedded in the project. Track compliance to requirements (stage gate reviews)
- Teach and coach people in the Lean Factory design technics. Accountable to change the culture and embed all these technics in the day to day CAPEX/ SMR culture
- Extend approaches to facility design ensuring that design include inclusive equipment and facility design requirements.
- Build a community of practices around LFD. Develop a list of coaches that support the long-term deployment and sustainability of these practices.
- Implement process confirmation, process monitoring routines and adhoc KPI demonstrating that the program is in place, in use and delivering high tangible savings that will add to existing Value creation Program.
- TPM expectations:
- Develop a broad view and understanding of the existing industrial network, especially secondary lines, having a clear understanding of the current asset utilization and corresponding low performance factors including no utilization because market do not require more volume, over use of the line due to poor technical performance (planned and unplanned downtime leading to low OEE), over use of the line due to raw material used in a machine not design for them, other issues (such as organization...).
- Deploy TPM concept, methodologies, and tools in company level. Educate, conduct frequent discussions and coaching to stakeholders.
- For each plant/line, map the TPM maturity of the plant (operator care implementation, focus improvement implementation, machine design versus TPM requirements...)oWork with MPU Director and Cluster responsible to create a TPM network of specialist on site responsible to deploy and sustain TPM activities on production lines and deliver tangible results.
- Work with supply chain and primary/secondary leaders to identify critical lines that will benefit from such project to increase the OEE and increase our network asset utilization leading to lower production costs, higher reliability and increased supply capabilities.
- Build a master service agreement with a company that can come and support operational deployment on site to support operations in the deployment of machine changes and operator’s development to support the program deployment.
- Develop a vaccines community of practices where co-workers, supervisors, managers and other cross functional department personnel interact in a way that fosters an acceleration of the adoption of TPM principles. Identify technical talent and feed the talent pipeline.
- Support related audits following requirements
- Keep communicating, reporting and sharing of experience in company for TPM activities
- Participate in the company TPM communities (Pharma). Ensure the development of your network across other company structure to benefit from their experience and available materials
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- University degree: Pharmaceutical Science, Bio or chemical engineering, technical engineering or related field
- Fluent in French and English
- 10-15 years of experience in the required domains
- Broad knowledge of maintenance technologies & processes as well a CAPEX project definition and execution
- Demonstrated TPM experience either as TPM program leader or TPM stream leader.
- The job holder will be of sufficient scientific stature and credibility to effectively interface with and influence peers within GSK. Good networking inside and outside GSK Vaccines in your discipline
- Expertise in EHS, cGMP, Lean and TPM
- Extensive knowledge of GSK Vaccines organization (QA-QC Manufacturing- Regulatory-Validation)
