Caterpillar’s Product Supply and Logistics Division aims to provide fully integrated supply chain solutions to its worldwide network of production facilities and distribution centers .

Within this division, the EAME Transportation team is responsible for organizing and managing a variety of transport flows within the Caterpillar network, covering multiple suppliers (+1.000), multiple Caterpillar factories and DC’s (+25) and multiple dealers.

The EAME Transportation team is looking for a talented Transportation Manager (Data Analytics and Freight Invoicing) , to lead a multi-cultural team of 10 experts located in Belgium, Poland, and India.

As a Transportation Manager (Data Analytics and Freight Invoicing) , you will:

Be accountable for developing breakthrough Analytics Insights by combining business acumen with in-depth data understanding.

These insights can be from an operational and/or financial nature, but always in one way or another, linked to Transportation activities (cost reduction, performance management, customer relations, cost variance, …) Be accountable for managing, improving, and expanding the “pre-billing” freight invoicing process, across +60 carriers and covering +$100m yearly freight spend. Maintain a (close) relationship with a variety of business partners

R Equired Qualifications
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Any background in / previous exposure to one or more of the following areas:
    • Analytics/business intelligence
    • Accounting
    • Finance
    • Transportation
    • Purchasing
    • Material Planning
  • Experience with Operational Excellence, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies
  • (first) experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerBi, Power Automate, …)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Change management experience

  • Have an analytical and pragmatic mindset with an eye for detail
  • Have a strong focus on process design and continuous process improvement
