The Valeo VIE Program is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28. This program is to work for one of our subsidiary around the world!

The site of Meslin-l’Evêque (Belgium) is part of the Visibility System (VIS) Business Group. It develops high-performance and innovative lighting and wiping systems that accompany the driver and his passengers in all weathers, day and night, and in their various activities on board the vehicle.

Our Purchasing department is looking for a VIE Productivity Buyer to be part of the team (9 persons) for 12 months (renewable 12 months). You work in an international context with suppliers from Eastern Europe. You improve site competitiveness through serial materials cost reductions in liaison with Business Group and Group organization.

Your challenges?

• You define and implement technical/re-sourcing/logistics/VPS materials productivities and reservoir in line with budget requirements, in collaboration with the segment organization
• You support the commodity organization to reach the site negotiation objectives
• Your drive in front of the MSC material productivity actions and brings suppliers in, in line with budget timing
• You monitor supplier relationship
• You implement PG/PL Worldwide materials standards in the site(s) and mitigation action plan at site level
• You build up the site(s) budget together with the site Purchasing manager and in liaison with the Segment Leaders
• You implement mitigation action plan at site level
• You ensure coverage of logistics protocols for all bought out parts
  

Let’s Talk About You...

• You graduated from a Master degree with an Engineering or Purchasing background
• You have an excellent level in English and French
• You have a first experience in purchasing (internship, work-study)
• You are able to work in a team, flexible, and autonomous
• You have negotiation, persuasion and analytical skills
  

In addition...

• A good knowledge of SAP is a plus
