Context
Unilever Food Solutions Purpose is ‘To free up Chefs to love what they do’. Based on this mission, UFS offers culinary convenience products and solutions to professional Chefs. We serve Independent and Chain Operators in the Institutional Segment (Health, Canteens, Schools & Governmental) as well as in the Commercial Segment (Hotels, Restaurants, Snackbars, Butcher/Traiteurs). Our team of 53 employees realizes a Turnover of € 66.7 million within the Belgian and Luxembourg ‘Away From Home’ market via a broad network of B2B Wholesalers. We hold leading position in most of the markets in which we are active: Bouillons, Soups, Sauces, Binders, Tea,… Our product portfolio offers various degrees of convenience level, ranging from basic products to ready-to-use products, which helps Chefs to combine efficiency whilst continuing expressing his Chefmanship and creativity in the dishes. Function
Within the UFS operator Sales team, we are currently looking for an Account Manager CPU (Central Production Units) for the region West Flanders.
The Account Manager CPU reports into the Head of Sales Belux.
Responsibility
In the Unilever Food Solutions Organization, you are responsible to develop, grow and manage the business of Unilever Foodsolutions with designated CPU’s to achieve sales volume, turnover and profitability objectives as agreed.

Your job includes the following tasks:
Implement focused CPU-approach in coop with dedicated CPU culinary advisor and operator marketing to accelerate growth & get operators to choose UFS as their main ingredient partner by supporting them (right products and great support) in running a successful operation. Ensure achievement of all agreed targets, KPI’s, and continuously assess progress against these targets, recommending corrective action as necessary Build and maintain necessary CPU contact at all levels ensuring maximum effectiveness of Unilever Foodsolutions activity and growth delivery. Secure and retain current business and implement national price increases with designated CPU’s. Maximum introduction of new products and relevant innovations in line with operator needs and market trends. Use culinary support via dedicated CPU chef where necessary to support and grow the business @ your CPU customers As member of the CPU team, share insights, trends, operators demands, barriers within the team in order to find solutions within our portfolio or within European product baskets. Meeting with the Global CPU team is also part of the Job. Use tender management tool to manage your operator contracts in order to calculate profitability of new product introductions, defend and increase profitability @ every moment .Manage B&MI , close follow-up and quarterly reporting .
SELECTION CRITERIA/POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Formal Qualifications:
Higher Education or equivalent bilingual Dutch - French & English
- Experience:
3+ years Field Sales Experience Deal maker: have proven excellent negotiation experience. Demonstrable analytical strong ability In depth Knowledge and expertise of the Foodservice and CPU industry. Strong conceptual thinking
