Accountant

Job description

Under the responsibilities of the Finance & Accounting Manager. The accountant will perform and coordinate all day-to-day accounting activities. He/she will ensure timely processing of documents and flows.

In close collaboration with all departments of the company, he/she will establish and report reliable financial information. Through different tasks, he/she contributes to the Group-IPS’s success.

Your main responsibilities:

· Accountancy Management for several Group entities

Key responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting operations: journal entry & validation of invoices, expense notes, and bank statements,
• Follow up on bookings of payroll and fixed assets, reconciliation of accounts
• Follow up on invoices approval and prepare electronic payments on a timely basis
• Prepare monthly reports on costs (vendor, expenses, cost center.)
• Prepare VAT declarations
• Prepare accurate & timely quarterly/yearly financial closing of the company
• Consolidate the financial statements for the Group
• Ensure application of accounting principles, practices, and procedures, legal & Tax Rules
• Credit collection, Interco invoicing, support on analysis.

Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
• Min 3 years experience in a similar position
• We are listening, speaking, reading, and writing in French, English, and Flemish. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
• Good knowledge of common software programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience in using an ERP (Odoo is a plus), Isabel
• Customer service oriented, good communicator, organized, problem solver, team worker, strong analytical skills, discretion, accuracy, attention to detail
