Ready to step into a key leadership role in finance?

At Lutosa, we’re looking for an Accounting Manager to lead our Accounting & Credit Control team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting (IFRS & BE GAAP). This is a strategic role with direct impact on decision-making, compliance, and business growth.

Role

As Accounting Manager, you report to the Finance Director and lead a team of 7 people. Your scope covers both operational excellence and strategic oversight:

Team leadership & coordination

• Supervise and develop the Accounting & Credit Control team

• Organize the daily work and support team members in their development

• Act as the go-to person for accounting and reporting standards (IFRS, BE GAAP)

Financial operations & compliance

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings

• Monitor general ledger operations, accounts reconciliation, and reporting packages

• Guarantee compliance with legal obligations (VAT, corporate tax, Intrastat, etc.)

Audit & internal control

• Prepare and coordinate internal and external audits

• Maintain and improve internal control procedures and documentation

• Act as a key contact for auditors, tax authorities, and group finance

Credit management & working capital

• Manage customer credit policies and monitor outstanding receivables

• Optimize working capital through proactive credit and cash management

Process improvement & projects

• Lead or contribute to finance transformation and digitalization projects

• Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and tools

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Controlling, Supply Chain, Sales, etc.)

Profile

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • At least 10 years of experience, including 3 years in a managerial role in an international environment
  • Strong command of IFRS and BE GAAP standards
  • Proven experience in financial closing, audit coordination, and tax compliance
  • Strong leadership, attention to detail, results-oriented mindset, and a drive for continuous improvement
  • Excellent analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP FI/CO)

Languages

Dutch, English. French is an asset.
