Our platform DISQOVER builds intelligent links between private, third-party, and public data sources democratizing access to all your data. Our customers are research-intensive organizations, in the fields of life sciences, healthcare, and beyond: pharmaceutical multinationals, small-to-medium biotech companies, academic institutes...

Our scrum teams build the DISQOVER product which enables our users, in a user friendly and performant way, to process and extract insights out of a complex knowledge graph of terabytes of data. We also have a data science scrum team responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and running ONTOFORCE’s data offering in Life Sciences.

Your responsibilities

As an Agile coach, you help define and drive the way of working for all scrum teams (software engineering & data engineering) leading our product to higher quality, higher value, higher efficiency and a higher release frequency.

You do that by making Agile work across the organization, by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, by coaching your fellow scrum masters…

You are also hands-on picking up the role of a scrum master of a team yourself.

Your main focus is to prepare the organization, the teams, the people and our way of working for a bigger team size, to increase our efficiency and quality, to enable cross-team collaboration and to increase developer satisfaction.

You push the organization towards a top-down bottom-up way of working.

Top-down means that you help ensure that everything we do can be tied back to customer value and our product strategy. It means that you help ensure that everybody very clearly understands the WHY in everything they do.

Bottom-up means that you ensure that it is the team, together with the product owners, who decide exactly how that value will be delivered to the client, what features need to be developed, in what order…

You help ensure that everything is developed in a way where we iteratively deliver value every sprint while keeping an eye on our total release plan. The goal is to deliver as much customer value as possible around the themes that were the focus of the release.

Your profile

• You have worked in a scrum/Kanban team. You can bring teams up to speed with the agile way of working. You have experience in Agile Coaching.
• You’re able to transform an organization into an agile way of working. You see opportunities to change the mindset of the organization
• Analytical insight, quick understanding, ability to distinguish facts from assumptions
• Empathy, insight into group dynamics, good observation and listening skills
• Passion to work with people
• You have an internal drive to grow and improve yourself and the organization
• Thinking out-of-the-box
• Strong communication, fluent in English.
