Job title: Application Engineer
Location: Mont-St-Guibert, Belgium
Short description:
The Application Engineer will be passionate about composites and engineering innovation and willing to embrace an engineering role that actively assist the auto and aerospace industries in learning about the best in class composite modelling technology Digimat and methods for designing composite materials and parts thanks to numerical simulation.
The Application Engineer will report to the Manager Customer Service.
Tasks in more detail:
Connect with customers & new prospects, learn about their pains and challenges, promote our solutions to answer these
Act as a reference material expert with key existing customers to assist them in deploying our Digimat technology, in implementing the proper engineering methods & workflows to successfully overcome their innovation challenges
Analyse incoming customer queries and support issues, manage outages, communicate solutions
Train customers on our modelling products and solutions
Actively participate to engineering projects involving advanced material and structural FE modelling tasks
Inform R&D team of any request/idea to enhance the user experience with our solution
Support the business growth by identifying and communicating to the Sales team any business opportunities detected inside of technical discussion with customer
Requirements:
Material or Mechanical Engineering degree, or higher degree
Strong background on plastics and/or composite materials, ideally familiar with material modelling
Knowledge of finite elements, experienced with preparing and solving nonlinear FEA
Think out of the box attitude, smart & agile, ability to bounce back and be force of proposition
Profile attracted by innovation and an environment to solve challenges daily
Strong English communication skills, French and/or German is a clear plus
Helping and listening to people is part of your passion
