This job is yours if you want to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our international accountant team. As an accountant you will report to the Finance Manager Europe (based in Belgium) you will be responsible to support the full Belgian and Dutch accounting and payroll cycle.

Our West European engineering team develops a range of custom made in-line and offline test and measurement machines to help customers achieve higher product quality, faster time to market, and greater value from their test system.

ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT (FULL TIME))

Your contribution in this role:

  • Daily processing of purchase invoices of our Belgian and Dutch company
  • Daily processing of bankstatements
  • Issuing sales invoices
  • Follow up of account receivables
  • Preparing the weekly payment run for accounts payables
  • Preparing and filing VAT-, Intrastat- and Recupel-declarations
  • Supporting the senior accountant in the monthly and yearly closings
  • Preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement in collaboration with the senior accountant
  • Comply with federal and local financial and tax legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation
  • Follow-up of employee timesheets and booking hours in our payroll system
  • Ad-hoc tasks

The ideal candidate in a few words:

You are highly organized and able to learn quickly; possess a strong attention to detail; are reliable and are used to work with confidential information and deadlines; have a willingness to work in an organization committed to high quality products and customer service and you have strong developed communication skills to contribute in a project team.

Degree:

  • A bachelor degree in accounting

Experienced:

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting and payroll
  • Knowledge Belgian GAAP and Belgian tax regulations is a must

Must be eligible to work in Europe without VISA sponsorship
