Overview
The Industry development and Channel Partners teams within the European Merchant & Commerce organization is responsible to drive the advancement of the Mastercard Acceptance footprint in the European region, driving the deployment of enhanced products & solutions to maintain and further improve our best-in-class Acceptance. We partner with key players in all Europe, including Fintech, Payment Facilitators, ISVs, Gateways, Pay-Tech and financial institutions scaling digital, online and offline solutions for all the European markets
The role
The European Business Development - Associate Analyst Sales Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Acceptance Merchant & Commerce lead in developing selected Industry segments to enhance, Innovate and grow acceptance and sales footprint at European level and to support the sales projects and activities driven by Channel Partner team.
The candidate will be part of an experienced dynamic team at the heart of regional MasterCard Acceptance business development, working in close relationships with colleagues from all European geographies and product areas and reporting to the Merchant & Commerce Acceptance Europe Vice President
This position will enable the candidate to get a detailed understanding of Mastercard European Acceptance strategy including the most advanced digital, online and offline card acceptance value propositions as well as Mastercard product & Services. The candidate will learn how the new technology trends are shaping the European Acceptance dynamics and players in the value chain, and will be part of the partnership development initiatives
In This Position You Will
support the Vice President and the Industry development lead with the Acceptance Go to Market plan execution, industry assessments and direct engagement with external players and internal product stakeholders, with the aim to work on activities and value propositions that speed up the closing of identified acceptance gaps and growing opportunities in the assigned Industry (Fintechs- Paytechs)
Support the assessment & identification of strengths and weaknesses of the industry categories assigned and the engagements to action the identified solutions. (Digital enhancement, innovation and best in class User Experience)
Support the Channel Partner Sales leads to develop materials and actions to defend the value proposition: Assists with creating sales material & presentations, recommendations, proposals, and business case development
Manage the Sales pipeline & lead generation process in coordination with team members
Develop Reporting data and Post Sales analysis in coordination with European country representatives and product teams
All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should have the below profile and key requirements:
Ability to develop customer experience through digital and new technologies and/or conducting market/Industry analysis (work experience or internship at Digital /Payment players or in consulting is a plus)
University Master Degree in Engineering, Management, Business or equivalent titles
Out of the box thinking. Creativity to identify new approaches
Ability to identify process improvement & drive changes
Proactivity, curiosity to learn with Sales acumen
Good Communication skills, in all situations
Ability to work independently demonstrating multi-task and handling different projects at the same time
Technology/Digital Savvy
Analytical skills and comfortable with numbers
Strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access is a plus);
Proven skills and ability to develop effective presentations
Reliability and accountability
Fluency in English, other European language is a plus
Good Team Player
