For our global organization we are currently looking for an

Associate Director New Product Commercialization (Direct Procurement)

This role can be based in Heist-op-den-Berg

The position

The Associate Director New Product Commercializationwill lead category strategy globally and collaborate with senior functional and operational stakeholders to develop. You will support Organon Manufacturing division and will enable core elements of strategy: Right First Time, Time to Market, source innovation, E2E optimization, robust and compliant supply at right cost.

Our Sourcing team partner with the business to ensure efficient acquisition of goods and services that enables the commercialization of our medicines.

Main responsibilities

  • Negotiate and manage complex relationships with Organon’s CDMO suppliers in an E2E manner

  • Partner closely with Organon R&D organization, Business Development and OMS Science and Technology , understand the business needs and provide proactive solutions

  • Focus on innovation and value creation by deepening (strategic) supplier relationships

  • Engage, obtain sponsorship, and influence senior level stakeholders / demonstrate procurement value proposition

  • Keep commercialization, scale-up, robustness, viability of sourcing components at scale, cost-effectiveness in mind throughout all stages of product development

  • Help enable (reduction in) Time to Market by establishing right collaborations and structure agreements accordingly

  • Bring and enhance Market Knowledge and insight as a source of innovation and value creation for Organon business.

  • Act as change agent, demonstrating added value brought by the procurement function. Be a personal example of the Organon leadership standards.

  • Actively support diversity, both within Organon as well as including, expanding relationships with diverse suppliers

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree

  • Strong experience in direct procurement (API, DP, Devices and Packaging) and working with CDMOs

  • Proven track record in working in X-functional product development/commercialization teams and bringing products to markets (ideally demonstrating diverse experiences across several participating functions such as R&D, CMC, SC - launch management, procurement, external manufacturing,…)

  • Experience in complex Project Management demonstrating the ability to successfully complete large, complex and international projects

  • Demonstrated capabilities in Strategic Supplier & Relationship Management, Supplier risk management, cost optimization, Negotiation Skills, Financial/Legal Aspects with Procurement

  • Working experience in complex matrix organizations, exposure to international markets

  • Demonstrated strong problem solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills

  • Drive results while dealing with ambiguity

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Dutch is preferred.

  • Able to influence at all levels in the organization
